The System

A Systemised Approach.

Any good system is a set of principles or procedures as to which something is done.

Every successful business has a system that drives their success. So, when it comes to creating and sustaining a powerful change in the work place, the importance of a system is paramount. Our system has some core aspects however, we like to think that there still remains the ability to flexible in each specific piece. Each business is different and so too are it's employees, so the ability for our system to adapt to meet the demands of each business is important to us.

Education

Much like Measuring, we can't improve if we don't know what pieces of the puzzle need changed in or out. Knowing sleep or nutrition quality is poor, is a great start.

We then need to dive deeper and teach everyone about the effects of low or poor quality and why its a good idea to improve this. Whether we want to be able to live happier and healthier or to be able to perform better at work and relationships ongoing education is going to be a key to succeeding.

Learning will be done in multiple ways. Presentations, this will also include physical material to fill out and read. Ongoing learning via weekly communications - emails and through HR.

And then finally the online platform which can double as a self directed or used by an employee to present to staff - as a meeting topic.

Ongoing Support

Support will be offered in a variety of ways. Weekly emails, monthly check ups/quick face to face presentation to keep building momentum towards the teams goals.

Email support is an open line of communication for anyone with issues or questions.

This will also be where referrals to specific health professionals will take place if we feel it is necessary.

Challenge

For the adaption process to take place we need some form of resistance or challenge for our body or mind to struggle against. Although we often see struggle as negative part of our lives, small bits here and there are what drive us forwards.

Each month a challenge will be set, to the individual, to the affinity groups and to the business. Some of the greatest progress will come from these challenges.

Each challenge will have a specific purpose and outcome for completing. At minimum individuals will learn something about themselves each month.

Measure and Report

We can't improve what we don't know. To measure something removes the guess work and provides a level of surety that we are heading in the right direction. When it comes to measuring and colleting data from the work place, we often find the foundation of our employees health and wellbeing isn't as stable as we would like.

And this is only getting worse in the current global pandemic.

Health and wellbeing is measured by using self assessed questionnaires meaning it will be a direct representation of how the individual feels. The core pillars will be reviewed with a variety of questions, providing 2 scores, one for the individual and a collective score for the overall business.

Monthly data will be collected and presented to both the individual and the business to show improvement or area of specific weakness.

Tools/Resources

At this stage of the journey it is important to support what we have learnt with tools, specific protocols and resources. Items like stress logs, an accountability contract or a habit analysis sheet allow ongoing growth.

Tools support the individuals need for support and guidance but in their own time. These are also excellent conversation and references pieces for an employee to be able to show their business or family where they are at with, stress, nutrition, sleep, etc.

The online platform will host all of the tools for anyone to access. They will also be referenced during some of the presentations, along with an explanation on how to use them.

Affinity Groups

Creating a strong health and wellbeing orientated culture won't happen over night and it definitely won't happen alone. Studies show that habit change is best done in a group environment, where those in the group are on a similar path. To capitalize on this we will establish affinity groups inside of the work place.

These groups will be used to keep each other accountable and on track.

If managed properly affinity groups will be a powerful tool to help other aspects of business that the wellbeing system wont be covering.
